Follow Plaid Nation 2009

It’s that time again: our occasionally nomadic colleagues at design/branding agency Plaid have embarked on their annual Plaid Nation tour. As in years past, the Plaid team is taking its new media expertise on the road and broadcasting almost non-stop from the tour web site, www.plaidnation.com. And as in years past, Unitz had a hand in developing the site, which includes GPS tracking, a Twitter feed, videos and photos from the road and more.

Plaid’s travels will follow a midwest U.S. course this year from Detroit to New Orleans. Check the Plaid Nation web site for a complete schedule and to see the team’s latest updates from the road.

Developer Day at Viget Labs 5/30/09

We’ve just gotten word that our friends at Viget Labs are organizing and hosting a Developer Day in Falls Church, VA on May 30, 2009. Some of the sharpest coders around will be sharing their expertise on unit testing, Rails, Python and other topics.

For any developers in the DC area, this event is a bargain (even if it means spending a Saturday indoors). Online registration and the full agenda are available at developer-day.com.

Our friends over at Plaid have embarked on their second annual tour, this time hitting up the west coast.

They’ve outfitted a van with lots of high tech gear so you can watch their progress at PlaidNation. They’re out visiting lots of brands and firms spreading their message:

“PlaidNation is a rolling celebration of creativity and a demonstration of social media in action. It’s a Plaid van driving through the country meeting creative, marketing, brand and internet workers, and sharing Plaid love. Oh yeah – and every aspect of the tour is broadcast HERE on plaidnation.com. Like the best reality show, but more.”
